The other day I went shopping with friends and they were looking at different makeup items, discussing what colors would go well with their skin, what would set off good features and hide less favorable ones. I've never been a big one for makeup, only on special occasions like prom and quinces, and that's done at a salon, or for a party a friend's usually done it. What I'm wondering is, do you care for it? And when you do, how do you know what looks best, and what just looks silly? How do you know if you've applied it correctly? Were you taught, if so, how?

Sorry I don't have any helpful hints. I stopped wearing makeup when I stopped being able to see my face in a mirror. The only thing I wear is lipstick now.

As a Goth I wear black eyeliner and dark blue eyeshadow .I have learned after a great deal of practice to apply the eyeliner without too many mistakes, though the liquid stuff is apt to smudge or drip, the eye shadow is easier and I can always rely on my partner also Goth to help out, amid much cruel laughter.smile

I just now started wearing makeup this year. I wear relatively dark eyeliner but I use an eye pencil and that kind doesn't have to be applied in a set line so it works pretty well cause a lot of people use smudgers to apply it anyway. i do. my mom watched me the first times I put it on to show me exactly wear and everything. it works pretty well, but hmmm I wonder if I totally mess it up sometimes lol well hopefully people would tell me.
